From the quiet tension of getting ready, to the final moment of saying I do, to what happens after the last glass is raised — this bridal story follows the full arc of becoming a bride.
Not just the ceremony, but everything around it.
The slipping into something delicate before anyone is watching. The anticipation. The pause before the dress. The softness of lace against skin in a quiet room. The shift from private to seen. And then, later — the after-party version of a bride: undone, elevated, still glowing but no longer contained.
Undone By Love is a bridal world built across those moments. Sexy, elegant, romantic — but also dramatic and enchanting. A study in contrast, where intimacy meets spectacle, and softness meets edge.
And there was no better place to bring it to life than Château Ste-Agnès.
A château built from devotion
The story of Château Ste-Agnès begins with Henriette Antony, the original force behind the estate. As the archive shares, “There lived the late Henriette Antony, the original owner and visionary of this estate.” Born in southern Moravia and later immigrating to Canada, Antony carried a deep longing for her European roots — a vision she would go on to recreate in Quebec through the world she built at the château.
What followed was not just architecture, but obsession in its most beautiful form. According to the estate’s history, “she’d created a terraced vineyard, two villas, two small lakes and a castle complete with a grand ballroom, underground wine cellars and tasting rooms built into the hillside.”
Cobblestone paths, murals, carved woodwork, and mosaics fill the grounds — details described as “evocative of the Middle Ages.”
It is a place shaped by memory, imagination, and devotion.
And as the estate itself reflects, “Château Ste-Agnès cannot be solely explained nor captured in a picture, it needs to be lived and felt.”
We experienced exactly that while shooting within its walls — not as an attempt to contain it, but to translate a fragment of its atmosphere through the lens of Undone By Love.
We had the chance to ask Camille Asselin from Château Ste-Agnès about the romance, history & quiet magic behind one of Quebec’s most breathtaking wedding destinations. From timeless architecture and vineyard views to unforgettable bridal moments, she shared what makes every celebration at the château feel deeply personal, cinematic & unlike anywhere else.
What is the first thing people feel when they arrive at Château Ste-Agnès?
Most guests describe Château Ste-Agnès as discovering a hidden gem tucked away in the Eastern Townships. From the moment they pass through the gates, there is an immediate sense of calm and escape. The peaceful landscape, majestic mountain views, European-inspired vineyard setting, and timeless architecture come together to create something truly unique. It feels intimate, serene, and almost transportive, as though you’ve stepped into another world without having traveled very far at all.
Is there a certain time of day when the château feels most magical?
It’s less about a specific hour and more about the changing seasons. In spring, when the earth is coming back to life, everything begins to awaken again, spring flowers bloom, the first buds on the vines appear, and there is an excitement in the air as a new season begins. In the height of summer, especially in August and September, the vineyard feels incredibly alive. The vines are full, the gardens are vibrant with colour, and the estate carries an unmistakable energy. In late fall, the château transforms into something entirely different. The surrounding Appalachian Mountains become a tapestry of rich reds, golds, and deep oranges, creating an atmosphere that feels deeply romantic, peaceful, and absolutely breathtaking.
Do you have a favourite room or space on the property? Does it have a particular history to it?
It’s difficult to choose a single favourite space, as each room at Château Ste-Agnès carries its own atmosphere and history, contributing to the overall sense of the estate. That said, the Adele Room holds a particularly special place. In 2021, Adele filmed her music video here with Xavier Dolan, and the room still carries the quiet imprint of that moment. We have intentionally preserved the room much as it was, allowing its character and creative energy to remain intact. It is a space that feels both rich and regal.
What makes Château Ste-Agnès such a special setting for a wedding?
Every wedding feels naturally shaped by its surroundings, yet never defined by them. Instead, the château becomes a gentle frame for the couple’s story, allowing their day to unfold in a setting that evokes timeless European elegance and old-world charm. From the ceremony to the celebrations that follow, the estate offers a variety of spaces and possibilities, allowing each wedding to feel entirely unique. No two celebrations are ever the same, each one reflecting the personality, energy, and story of the couple at its center. The original visionary of the estate, Henrietta, created something that carries a deeply feminine essence and romantic energy. From the heart-shaped pond to the Romeo and Juliet balcony, intentional details are woven into every corner of the property, adding to the feeling that every love story belongs here.
How does the château transform when it becomes part of someone’s love story?
The château already carries a certain atmosphere, history, and energy of its own, but when a couple celebrates their wedding here, the estate takes on an entirely new spirit. It becomes deeply personal. The property comes alive in a different way. What stands out most is that no two weddings ever feel the same. Each couple brings their own story, traditions, and energy into the space, and for a brief moment, the château becomes part of their family story as well. There is something truly moving about watching guests arrive here for a celebration and leave carrying memories forever tied to this place.
What does it mean to care for a place with so much history?
It is a privilege that comes with both responsibility and constant care. As the new owners, it was always deeply important to us to continue honoring Henrietta’s legacy. The estate carries such a beautiful energy and feminine essence, and preserving both the estate and its spirit has remained at the heart of everything we do. Our intention was never to change the soul of the property, but rather to honor it while thoughtfully building upon it. Caring for a place like this means respecting what has been created over time while ensuring the estate continues to be fully experienced and appreciated today. We have invested so much love, care, and energy into the estate ourselves that it has come to feel like an extension of us as well. We have made it our own in thoughtful ways while always remaining true to its essence and the spirit of what made it so special from the beginning.
What is your favourite bridal moment to witness on the property?
One of my favourite moments to witness is the quiet pause just before the ceremony begins. For a brief moment, the entire property feels still, and you can feel the emotion, anticipation, and love overflowing all at once.
What do you think Henrietta would be most proud of today?
We believe Henrietta would be deeply proud to see her legacy being honored with such care and intention. There is a strong commitment to preserving everything she created, protecting the château’s essence so it remains authentic and timeless. At the same time, as the new owners, we have gently brought new life to the estate enhancing the guest experience and thoughtfully expanding its ability to welcome more visitors each season as interest continues to grow, all while staying true to what Henrietta originally envisioned.
The muse — Lea Meniel
To bring Undone By Love into focus, we worked with model Lea Meniel — chosen for her ability to hold contradiction effortlessly.
She carries softness and elegance. There is a modernity to her presence that makes the romantic feel immediate, not distant.
She becomes the bride in transition — not one fixed moment, but many: preparing, arriving, dissolving into the dramatic scenery.
The edit: bridal, undone
The blush bridal edit moves through every stage of the bridal experience — from intimate, getting-ready lingerie moments, to structured ceremony looks, to after-party silhouettes that feel more liberated than formal.
For this campaign, we leaned into that full spectrum.
Soft bridal pieces that feel like a secret before the ceremony. Elevated silhouettes that belong to the moment of I do. And then — unexpectedly — all-black bridal looks, styled with intention.
Because this bride is not defined by tradition alone.
She is romantic, but not restrained. Elegant, but not predictable. She exists in both softness and edge, often within the same breath.
The blush bride is not afraid of contradiction — she leans into it. She is as much about longing as she is about presence. As much about romance as she is about power.
A love story, rewritten
Shooting at Château Ste-Agnès felt like stepping into a living world of emotion and history.
The estate itself mirrors the collection: layered, detailed, and built from vision. As its custodians share, their philosophy is “to pay homage to what was here and to showcase the beauty of this place while keeping integrity of the land.”
That idea — preservation through transformation — echoed through every frame.
The end… or the beginning
There’s a line in the château’s history that lingers long after you read it:
“The End (…Actually, it’s just the beginning)”
It feels fitting here.
Undone By Love isn’t just about a wedding.
It’s about everything that leads up to it — and everything that comes after.
Say I do, and discover the bridal edit.
