In Loving Memory of Our Founder, Edward Ajmo

Edward Ajmo

December 22, 1935 – December 4, 2025

As this year comes to a close, we pause to honor the life of Edward Ajmo, founder of blush, and to reflect on the values, care, and compassion that defined both his life and the company he built.

Edward passed peacefully on December 4, 2025, in Montreal. He leaves behind a legacy shaped not only by his work, but by his humility, quiet strength, and boundless love for his family. Though he stepped away from the day-to-day operations of blush in 2002, his presence, care, and heart never left the brand.

Edward founded blush in 1988, building it on principles that mattered deeply to him: honesty, dedication, and respect. These values were never trends or strategies — they were simply how he believed business, and life, should be done. More than three decades later, they remain at the heart of blush.

Today, Edward’s vision continues through his children, Tiffany and Justin Ajmo, who have long been guiding blush with the same commitment, integrity, and warmth their father instilled from the very beginning. Under their leadership, the brand has evolved while staying true to the foundation Edward so carefully built.

A Place of Care, Compassion, and Hope

During his final days, Edward was surrounded by the devoted care of the Montreal Heart Institute team, who provided him with comfort and unwavering kindness. This was not new to him — the Institute had supported Edward with compassion for more than 45 years throughout his long-term cardiovascular care.

The Montreal Heart Institute plays a vital role in advancing heart health for people of all ages, offering specialized care, research, and life-saving treatments that impact countless lives every day. Their work is especially important for women, who continue to face a disproportionate burden of heart disease.

Worldwide, cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in women, responsible for nearly one in three female deaths each year. Despite this, heart disease in women is often under-recognized and under-treated. Institutions like the Montreal Heart Institute are essential in changing that reality — through research, education, innovation, and compassionate care.

Supporting the Edward Ajmo Fund

In Edward’s memory, we invite our community to support The Edward Ajmo Fund at the Montreal Heart Institute. Donations to the fund help advance cardiovascular health by supporting critical equipment, life-saving treatments, and research — ensuring care reaches those who need it most, in his name.

Supporting this fund is a way to honor Edward’s life while helping others receive the same level of care he was able to receive.

We thank you for being part of the blush community, for honoring Edward with us, and for sharing in the values he cherished so deeply. We are forever grateful for your endless support and love.

Wishing you joy in the new year — here’s to a beautiful year ahead.

With love, remembrance, and gratitude,

 Justin, Tiffany, the Ajmo family
